Instructional Strategies
A developmental approach is used to meet a child's individual needs using The Creative Curriculum for Preschool, building on student interests. Teacher-child interactions play an essential role in guiding children's learning through a wide range of scaffolded instructional strategies using objectives for development and learning. These objectives are based on an extensive review of the most common research and professional literature in the field of early childhood education and align with the state Early Learning and Development Standards, as set forth by the Illinois State Board of Education. Read more about the ISBE's standards in their Standards Document.
